BUYER REBATE PROGRAM
How Real Estate Commissions Work with Mountain High Realty When you buy a home, there are two real estate agents involved with the deal; the one representing the seller, and the one representing you, the buyer. The seller determines the commission for each agent -- typically 2.5 - 3% of the home's purchase price. Mountain High Realty refunds up to 15% of our share of that commission back to you, the buyer. What We Mean By Up To: After our agents work for you and negotiate on a price, that price will be what we will refund on. For example. If a property is listed for $570,000 and we get an accepted offer for $500,000 then the refund applies to the negotiated price of $500,000 and not the original listed price. The reason we point this out is some of our competitors don't "fight" for you and you only receive a refund if your offer is at the "original asking price". We keep 85% of our commission for our service and refund the rest to you. For a $500,000 home with a 3% commission for the buyer's agent, your refund would be $2,250. For a $250,000 home with a 3% commission for the buyer's agent, your refund would be $1,125 and so on. After close of escrow we will send your refund as a check within 10 days of closing. |
